    Join us for an evening where we will cover the nuts and bolts of advocating for children birth to five. We will be covering topics of trauma, child development, challenging behaviors, connecting with caregivers, advocacy role, adult/child interactions, local resources and other juicy topics. We will have a guest speaker, Early Head Start Manager, Corey Vestal to share more about the importance of early care and education, and Head Start wraparound family services!

Sometimes you don’t know the best way to respond to your child’s behavior, whether it’s slamming the door, a blowout, withdrawal, arguing and just plain defiance. Attend this session to learn about some effective strategies you can use to respond to your child’s challenging behavior. Presented by Kendra Fraka, MSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Behavior Specialist at CHC.

    Whether you’re working from home and want to get ideas for when you’re back in the classroom or, you’re being called on as an essential worker and need strategies now this event will give you the strategies you need to succeed when it comes to challenging behavior.
    The conference kicks off May 6, 2020 and runs for 7 days entirely online.
    Each day, three hour-long recorded video sessions will be available for you to watch. Register before the conference starts and you’ll also get a free mini workbook each day of the conference with prompts, questions, and exercises designed to help you reflect on your teaching practice and implement your learning. There’s also a private Facebook group where you can talk to other participants and many of the speakers!
