Participating in ongoing training will maintain and improve the level of the CASA volunteer’s knowledge and skills about issues that may be relevant to their case.
Advocates are required to complete 12 CEUs each year, which must include completion of the Mandated Reporter Training and 2-CEUs on topics of Race & Equity. To log your continuing education units, please add your hours to the "Trainings" tab in your Optima Portal. Or, simply email your Advocate Supervisor with a brief overview of what you learned/how it relates to your knowledge as a CASA to have your hours recorded in file. Online and Virtual Trainings will have a note indicating CEUs to record on your log.
