An evening with the Judge:
How Advocates can best serve youth in Court

Santa Cruz County Superior Court Dependency Judge Rebecca Connolly will join CASA staff members Fred Koehler and Jimmy Cook for an informative and intimate evening for Advocates. Fred will lead a Q and A with the Judge, and she will offer advice on how Advocates can best serve their CASA child/youth, and what the Court would like to see from Advocates -- in their court reports, and court appearances. In addition, you will engage in a discussion of how to use a strength-based perspective when writing court reports. Included will be pointers on how to talk about issues the court needs to hear, without jeopardizing the relationship with the parents.
