Dan Pellegrino

Dan learned about CASA though a friend, who brought him to several CASA events. “I really liked the organization and the people involved. I knew it was something I wanted to do after hearing kids speak about the difference an Advocate made in their lives.” Dan wanted to serve a teen. “I had worked with teenagers through my church and it seemed like a natural fit.” Dan has been an Advocate over four years and has served three youth. He and his current youth Sam are known at the CASA house for the fun they have playing Guitar Hero. Sometimes when they’re battling it out they even sing! Dan says the most rewarding part of being an Advocate, "is when a child discovers a possibility for his life that he may not have known existed before.” Being an Advocate is Dan’s first experience with foster children. “I was amazed at how much some of these kids have been through at their young age, but they are just normal kids."
