Participating in ongoing training will maintain and improve the level of the CASA volunteer’s knowledge and skills about issues that may be relevant to their case.
Advocates are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education each year; including a minimum of 2 hrs on topics of Race & Equity. To log your continuing education hours, please add your hours to the "Trainings" tab in your Optima Portal. Or, simply email your Advocate Supervisor with a brief overview of what you learned/how it relates to your knowledge as a CASA to have your hours recorded in file. Articles will have a note indicating time to record on your log.
