Sierra Azul Nursery includes two acres of demonstration gardens featuring mature Mediterranean plants in a garden setting. A fun place to explore, and it’s free.

Free, docent-led tours of the UCSC Farm are offered the first Sunday of the month from April through November, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. No reservations necessary.

The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum & Botanic Garden is open from 9:00 to 5:00, except Thanksgiving Day and December 25 to 28. A visit is worthwhile any time of the year. $5 for Adults and $2 for Children (6 to 17 years old), and free under 6.
