  • Bill Wilson Center’s Host Home Program/Share Housing

    Bill Wilson Center’s Shared Housing /Host Home Program is looking for people who can provide temporary housing (6 months) in a safe and welcoming environment for young adults (ages 18-24) who are experiencing housing instability.

  • FUP

    (30 Vouchers) The Family Unification vouchers are reserved for youth and young adults who are at least eighteen years of age but not yet twenty-five years of age, who left foster care, or will leave foster care within the next ninety days, and who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless at age sixteen or older. FUP Youth vouchers used are issued for up to 36 months of housing assistance, with the possibility of extension up to 60 months.

  • FUP – Y

    A Youth Family Unification Program (FUP-Y) voucher is a housing choice voucher for young adults who previously received or are about to leave foster care services. Housing choice vouchers are administered by the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz. Voucher holders typically pay around 30% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent, and the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz pays the rest. The voucher lasts for at least three years.

  • Families In Transition (FIT) Rapid Rehousing

    FIT provides housing services, case management, and rental assistance to unhoused children and unaccompanied youth (18-24).

    A resource for those needing housing assistance, connecting individuals with live support and additional resources.

  • The Transition Age Youth (TAY)

    The TAY program serves current and former foster youth age 15-24 with a range of services to assist youth in making a healthy transition to adulthood. Programs include counseling, skill-building, a drop-in center, and subsidized supportive housing. TAY programs include:

    - The Independent Living Program (ILP): serves current and former foster and probation placement for youth aged 15-21. It assists youth to develop independent living skills to successfully transition to self-sufficiency and includes services such as one-on-one counseling, assistance in obtaining ID cards, driving permits and licenses and workshops on topics that assist youth in achieving personal, education and vocational goals.

    - The Transitional Housing Program (THP): is a supportive housing program for former non-minor dependents and foster youth between the ages of 18-24. Youth are supported with financial assistance, educational expenses, emotional support, life skills coaching, and referral to community resources to help them achieve the financial stability necessary to succeed in independent living.

    - THP-Plus (Transitional Housing Program-Plus): is a program designed to provide temporary housing and supportive services to young adults, typically those aged 18-24, who are transitioning from the foster care system or experiencing homelessness. The program aims to help these individuals achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.
